Anna Pashchenko
Anna (born 10/29/94) was a Ukrainian orphan who lived in a suburb of Kiev. She stayed with us for almost two weeks during October/November of 2007 as part of a program to help find her a "forever family".
A family in Southern California was very interested in adopting Anna, but over the course of many months Anna became convinced that a couple in Spain who had adopted Anna's two younger sisters many years prior would also adopt Anna. So, Anna declined the US adoption opportunity. Unfortunately, Anna was never adopted by the Spanish couple, and remains an orphan to this day.
Quiet and reserved, Anna is also smart, helpful, and independent. While it was sometimes hard to coax a smile out of her, we did our best to make her feel welcome, and she seemed to enjoy her stay with us.
We love her, and we will always remember her! She will always be considered part of our family, even if an unofficial "extended" one. We wish her the best.
До побачення, Aня!
Мы очень тебя любим!!!
